Racing at the edge of the resort
Palm Springs has always kept two speeds: the pool at a murmur and the desert flat out. On race weekends the two meet — machines run the pylons in the morning and the town takes the afternoon off to talk about it.
The Air Race pieces borrow the graphics of that weekend: course diagrams, winged roundels, numbers painted on polished skin, all drawn fine like a chart rather than shouted like a poster.
Grounds stay desert-neutral — warm bone, cream, one washed blue — so the print carries the story and the sun does the rest.
